These two songs feel like I'm standing at the edge of myself, vulnerable in a way I didn’t see coming. As I sing them, surrounded by miles of mountains, it’s like I’m confessing something deeply personal, realizing that love has quietly broken through my defenses when I thought I had everything figured out. It's this raw, almost disorienting feeling of being swept away by emotion—love and hope finding me in a moment I never expected, leaving me no choice but to embrace the two feelings. I surrender to the words, admitting that despite all the walls I've built, love has changed me, opened me up, and made me feel more alive than I thought possible.

I originally wrote 'To Be Home' in 2004, inspired by a close friend who was sent to fight in the Afghanistan War. Although I didn't start performing it until four years later, the song has evolved with each performance, taking on new layers of meaning. Twenty-years later, at its heart remains a tribute to the deep longing for home. This is the Coming Home arrangement, recorded live in Santa Fe, where the essence of that journey resonates with every note.
